Youth Pitching Camps

9U–12U Players ($375)
Our 10-week camp provides technical instruction, but also focuses exceptional time on age appropriate strength, flexibility & conditioning.  Our pitching camps are part of our technical instructional series and each session is capped at 8:1 coach to player ratio to preserve the integrity of the instruction and only led by current college coaches and/or former professional pitchers.

Pitchers go through extensive mechanical analysis to promote healthy arm action, while increasing velocity.  Players will become regimented on exercises and techniques to train the scapular stabilizers as well as the rotator cuff. The significance of the core & legs will also be a focal point.  Each pitcher will also receive instruction on the appropriate grips based off their age and natural arm slots to promote natural movement.

The one time fee of $375 includes access to the facility to complete the camp’s prescriptive and meticulous shoulder stability and throwing program 1x per week, but the camp also includes a highly instructional camp day every week with staff on mechanics, including video analysis and use of Rapsodo. Our camp molds smart & seasoned pitching coaches with new school technology. The Rapsodo measures the impact of spin on every ball; it shows the actual flight of a pitched baseball and calculates the corresponding trajectory of the same pitch without any spin.

Jimmy Jackson Pitching Lab for Parents & Coaches

January 16th, 2021 @ 6:00-8:00 pm
Jimmy Jackson is the Associate Head Coach & Pitching Coach at James Madison University.  In the shortened 2020 season, Jackson’s pitching staff ranked second in their conference holding opponent hitters to a .232 average and in 2019, the staff was ranked nationally in strikeouts while posting the lowest opponent batting average in program history. JMU also shattered the previous program record for strikeouts with 553, while producing four MLB Draft picks along the way!

Coach Jackson was hired at James Madison out of Fordham where he put together some of the Atlantic 10’s best pitching staffs, including in 2015 where his pitchers combined to break the program record for strikeouts in a season, fanning 392 opposing batters en route to their second straight appearance in the A-10 Championship. Coach Jackson also saw four of the seven pitchers in his first two recruiting classes selected in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.  In 2014, Jackson guided the pitching staff to its best strikeout-to-walk ratio since joining the conference.  Prior to Fordham, Jackson spent three years at Siena where his pitching staff led the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in ERA in the first season he took the reigns!

During the January 16th clinic, Jackson will briefly discuss new technology options including Rapsodo, but spend exceptional time on how to develop pitchers on a budget! He will cover some of mechanical absolutes that need to be trained and rehearsed and then get into inexpensive tech options including how to use the iPhone from ideal angles, coupled with making edits in iMovie, etc.

Coach Jackson will cover how to warm up properly, highlight mobility and conditioning plans for pitchers, as well as offer suggested recovery options. He will hit on all key points in a classroom environment, but the latter hour is in the bullpen with youth and middle school age pitchers!! You will get to hear Coach Jackson live & mic’d up putting the first half of the pitching lab into an active practice setting!
